The 'Cinderella' Waist

 The Cinderella Waist

With the hugely anticipated release of the latest Cinderella movie, comes a triumph over actress Lily James teeny tiny waist. Disney denies any form of digital editing accusations. Of course its' clear for anyone to see the prominent size of the bottom half of the dress and accentuated shoulders provide some sort of optical illusion making the waist seem much smaller than it actually is , alongside the extremely uncomfortable and restricting corset James is wearing. It seems the movie has set off a trend, everyone who's everyone seems to be using waist trainers and corsets to create a silhouette of tiny waist and larger bottom half, essentially the perfect hour glass figure. For those of you with petite, boy-ish type figures like myself, this is easier said than done. However using a high-waisted midi skirt teamed with a crop top or slogan T-shirt tucked in and a pair of stilettos or even trainers for a more casual look, can create the same effect. A few of my favourites are the Grid Print Bonded Midi Skirt from Topshop at £55.00 and the ASOS Golden Jacquard Skirt which comes as a Co-ordinating set in yellow, perfect for Spring.
